Graduate Pathways

The University offers combined bachelor's to master's degrees, which allow you to take graduate courses in your senior year that count towards your master's degree. In some areas, you can earn a master's in only one year beyond your bachelors. Bright Futures recipients may be eligible to receive funding for one term of graduate study at the undergraduate rate.

  • Charles E. Schmidt College of Science
  • Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters
  • Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College

Combines Bachelor's to Master's Degree Student Eligibility:

  • Complete the online graduate application and select combined program
  • Be currently enrolled in an FAU bachelor's degree program and junior or senior status
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Meet all other admissions criteria for the graduate degree program
  • Speak to an assigned academic advisor to determine if a combined degree program is an option for you.

Pathways Scholarship

This scholarship will award up to $2,000 to eligible FAU students enrolled in combined or advanced standing graduate degree programs. The scholarship is distributed in two increments of $1,000 during the first and last semester of the graduate program. Students must apply during the junior year of undergraduate study.

Award Eligibility Criteria, students must:

  • Be officially accepted to a combined program
  • Be enrolled in first graduate semester;
  • Maintain continuous enrollment throughout the graduate program;
  • Complete the undergraduate program within four years;
  • Complete the undergraduate
  • Complete a minimum of three graduate credits during the senior year.
